As you know, I love a good disaster story.

This story, published in 2018, is told as the final report, issued in 2023, of the eponymous 2020 Commission. As such, the story is set during the Trump presidency. It does a good job of incorporating his … behavioural problems, without centering the story around them too much, or letting them feel like they’re important to drive the action.

I’m not an expert in the sociopolitics of North Korea, but the story tasted realistic in its description of how A led to B led to C, etc. Because of the format of the story, it is a touch on the dry side, but overall I enjoyed it.
