Discovery is suffering from a problem I saw someone note about a lot of the streaming series these days: Season are short (10 episode seasons seem to be becoming the standard, instead of the 20+ we used to get). Discovery’s got a lot fo say, so they’re trying to cram a LOT of story into a tiny amount of time.

They did a decent job with that, but at times it feels very rushed.

The story was good. It resolved well. I have trouble believing they could come up with that deep a translation vocabulary in so short a time, but what they heck, they needed a good speechifying.

Overall, I didn’t enjoy this season as much as S2 or S3, but it was still good Trek. Looking forward to S5.
